There Will Be Bread...When we gather around the table and break bread together, we are transformed not only individually but also as community. We, people from different ages and races, with different backgrounds and histories, become one body." -Henri Nouwen

Fall On Me
Yeah- I'm still here. Not much to say right now. Well, lots to say, not enough time or the right words.
I love this song; it reminds me of particular days gone by. And I was inspired by the REM-iest of them all, Beth Coffey, on Facebook.
I adore this song-- this is the first time I've heard the unplugged version. I first came to know it, not through REM, but through Cry, Cry, Cry-- Dar Williams, Richard Shindell and Lucy Kaplansky, one great album.
I don't think I'll ever grow weary of these men. Wonderful song. And a wonderful treat to be transported to the 'Unplugged' era when MTV actually played music!

What a perfect video for the middle of a rainy night. And what lovely memories it brings. Thanks, Fran!

ReplyDeleteThat's one of my favorite REM songs. It's hard to narrow it down to one, I love a lot of REM songs.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Fran.

ReplyDeleteNot having much to say is kinda catching, no? I'm not feeling particularly chatty either. Hey, it's February, a short yet cruel month.
ReplyDeleteeven without 'much to say' we love you, Fran!
